Obnovou prochází více než 7 kilometrů kolejí. Přinese to rychlejší a bezpečnější provoz. Do prosince ale musíme počítat s častějším jednokolejným provozem. Potom se zprovozní nová odbočka Lom a úseky s jednokolejkou se zkrátí na polovinu. Po celou dobu se opravovaným úsekem jezdí 80 kilometrovou rychlostí, místo obvyklé padesátky. Hotovo má být v roce 2026.
